One year has passed since the tragic Air India 171 Boeing plane crash that claimed numerous lives and left countless families devastated. While the victims’ families have received compensation, many questions surrounding the cause of the crash remain unanswered, leaving relatives still searching for closure and justice.
The disaster also claimed the life of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, making the tragedy even more painful for the state. Several dreams were cut short as families lost their loved ones in one of the most heartbreaking aviation incidents in recent memory.
To mark the first anniversary of the crash, a memorial program was organized at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad. The event was attended by Radhika Rupani, daughter of the late Vijay Rupani, along with Gujarat Minister Darshana Vaghela.
During the ceremony, trees were planted in memory of the victims who lost their lives in the crash. Organizers said the plantation drive symbolized remembrance and hope, ensuring that the memories of those who perished would continue to live on.
Speakers at the event noted that as these trees grow over the years, they will serve as a lasting tribute to the victims and remind future generations of the lives that were lost. Family members, dignitaries, and attendees paid their respects and offered prayers for the departed souls.
The anniversary served as a moment of reflection, remembrance, and solidarity with the families still coping with the loss of their loved ones, while the search for answers about the cause of the crash continues.
